Sbarro restaurant chain has over 1,000 units in 35 countries including the UK,
Russia, Japan, Germany and Spain.
About 400 of Sbarro Italian Eatery's units are franchise
units, and the company has more than 100 franchisees with multiple Sbarro
locations. Venues include universities, airports, government buildings and
entertainment complexes, as well as shopping centers.
Based in Mellville, New York, Sbarro has been franchising since 1977. The
Italian QSR is known for its signature dishes that date to "Mama" Sbarro's
original recipes, and is one of the world's largest family-owned and operated
pizza chains.
