Bark Busters started in Australia in 1989 and came to the United States in
2000.
The company attributed its growth to two factors:
* Americans' on-going love affair with their dogs. More than one-third of all
U.S. households are dog owners.
* Bark Busters' business approach, which includes a its own home-based training
system, coupled with increasing brand awareness, large protected territories,
comprehensive training, and on-going support for its franchise owners.
The company's training technique uses the same communications methods - body
language and voice control - that dogs follow as part of their instinctual pack
mentality. All training takes place right in the home where the problems
generally occur. And Bark Busters' says it guarantees the training for the life
of the dog.
