Louisville International Airport
is going through a $41 million terminal renovation, part of Louisville
Regional Airport Authority’s $220 million Capital Improvement Program. Upon
completion, air travellers will enjoy additional safety and security
enhancements. The renovation is a comprehensive multi-phase, multi-year
upgrade and expansion of the terminal and is slated for completion in 2005.
A new Wyndham Airport hotel, which will be connected to the terminal, is
scheduled for completion in 2006. The $33 million airport hotel will
generate $12 million in revenue for completion of a $248 million voluntary
residential relocation program.
