Daventry lies in the county of Northamptonshire and has its origins as a
settlement in the ninth or tenth century. The town is the administrative centre
of the Daventry district.
Daventry is close to the M1 motorway and is served by the A45 road. The nearest
railway station is at Long Buckby.
