The Republic of Cyprus (Greek: Κύπρος, Kýpros; Turkish: Kıbrıs) is an island
nation in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, 113 km (71 miles) south of Turkey and
around 120 km (75 miles) west of the Syrian coast. The capital of Cyprus
is Nicosia.
NB: the Turkish Cypriot community refers to itself as the
"Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" (TRNC) but this is NOT
internationally recognised.
Cyprus is in the Eastern European Time Zone; Standard Time is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+2).

Like most Countries in Europe, Daylight Saving Time is observed in Cyprus, where the time is shifted forward by 1 hour, resulting in a time 3 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+3).
After the Summer months the time is shifted back by 1 hour resulting in the normal Standard Time (GMT+2).
