When it was first launched, the Aquanaut met with fantastic success because this new model of the Nautilus collection embodied an innovative lifestyle of casual elegance. It also gave substantial proof, once again, of Patek Philippe’s remarkable capacity to innovate. This original model declined in three sizes has attracted demanding men and women alike, all identifying with the modern concept of casual elegance. It has also inspired a new and younger clientele to enter the select and luxurious world of Patek Philippe. The first Patek Philippe sports watch in steel set with diamonds Building on this success, Patek Philippe enriched its Aquanaut collection by launching its first steel sports watch set with diamonds. This creation of great character was named Aquanaut Luce – the word “Luce” means light in Italian – as a tribute to the sparkle of its precious stones. Designed for ladies’ wrists and featuring dials and straps in various colors, the Aquanaut Luce comes in two different sizes : Medium (Ref. 5067) and Small (Ref. 4961). This elegant sports watch was created for modern, active and dynamic women who enjoy a casual yet daring style. While ensuring the legendary perfection of Patek Philippe timepieces, this watch combines unprecedented sports qualities with a truly contemporary design. Timeless colors As its original model, the new Aquanaut Luce is characterized by its matching
dial and strap decorated with the same exclusive motif and texture. To respond
to all feminine fancies, Patek Philippe offers a selection of original colors –
a series of refined, novel and timeless hues to go through the seasons and
provide each model with its own personal character. Modern radiance with PureWhite Elegance with MysteriousBlack An exotic feeling with AdventurousKhaki Feminine sensuality with Luscious Plum A romantic touch with Midnight blue A call for large bodies of water with Ocean Blue. The Aquanaut Luce Small (Ref. 4961) is only available in black or white.Sparkle and performance To sparkle with elegance – even at 60 meters under water – the Aquanaut Luce is set with 46 Top Wesselton full cut diamonds which underline the unusual shape of the bezel. The stones are selected for their flawless transparency and supreme “extra white” color, then cut and set by the best craftsmen. The dial is decorated with 11 Arabic numerals in 18K white gold. The large 18K white gold “baton” hands and the hour markers are covered with luminescent coating for enhanced legibility in any light. To sparkle with performance, the Aquanaut Luce Medium is fitted with a Patek Philippe quartz movement, Caliber E23 SC, with hour, minute, second and date indicators. The Aquanaut Luce Small version features the Patek Philippe quartz Caliber E19 with hour, minute and date indicators. Both quartz movements are decorated and controlled following the same criteria of supreme quality as those applied to Patek Philippe mechanical movements.
Super-resistant high tech strap Supple, comfortable and pleasant to the touch, the “Tropical” strap is made of a high tech composite material. It cannot be ruined, even in salt water or extreme temperatures, and is remarkably resistant to tear, wear and ultraviolet radiations. It was tested by the US Food and Drug Administration and is hypo-allergenic. Exclusively designed for the Aquanaut model, this strap is made of more than 20 components. Its development took nearly two years of work and its production requires many specific operations as well as the use of various machines, including a 150-ton press. It is fitted with a steel folding clasp, embossed with Patek Philippe’s famous Calatrava Cross quality emblem. A matching ring As a special treat supporting the launch of the Aquanaut Luce, Patek Philippe has designed white gold rings with the characteristic Aquanaut motif in composite material, in the same colors as the Aquanaut Luce.
