Founder: Louis-Ulys ChopardLouis-Ulysse Chopard founded the firm owned by the Scheufele family. Chopard founded the firm in Sonvillier in the Swiss Jura Mountains. A major supplier to Swiss Railways in its early days. In 1920 the company moved to Genève (Geneva, Switzerland), making glamorous watches including the famous Happy Diamonds.
